WhatsApp working on password protection for Cloud backup chats

Facebook owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp reportedly working on provide password protection for cloud backing up chats that users place on the cloud and Google Drive.

According to WABetaInfo, the newest WhatsApp beta version of the app which means it should be making its on cloud backsups and Google drive backups encryption.

The passwords protection is private and it’s not sent to WhatsApp. The new password feature will take some months to arrive in final build of WhatsApp for iOS and Android, As per WaBetaInfo says.
